I’ve been working on some new Blogger templates. I wanted to create 4 – 5 new templates that are very different from our current designs but that are still modern, clean and packed with style.
My newest design is here, the Anaise Blogger template.
Meet Anaise (said an-eye-ees)
Anaise is a clean, fresh blog design with custom fonts and a unique home page layout.
The home page layout includes a Featured Posts Slider, 4 Promo Boxes, a widget section where you can add Popular Posts or an affiliate widget like Shop Sense or Reward Styles. The post layout is a cross column style that is very clean with auto excerpts.
For your posts and pages, you can choose from 3 layouts: right, left or no sidebar.
The footer widget area is highly customizable with full width plus column areas. Add your Instagram feed and social icons to the footer.
Additional custom touches include floating social icons on the left side of the screen plus a custom Pin It hover button.

Will the label buttons at the bottom of the home page work as intended for the Anaise template. In the demo some of them categorize the posts under what looks like a random list of posts, Clicking “News” leads to a post labeled “art”. And is the “search” feature just disabled in the demo? Your themes are very nice by the way. I’m looking to use this template for an gallery site. It looks like you keep updating your themes which is also amazing and I’m wondering if you’ll release a Blogger theme (maybe on the new (contempo default blogger themes)) that is as good or similar to the wordpress genesis themes, which are totally professional, and stunning and that I would love. for blogger. lol.
Hello! It is not a random list of posts. On the archive pages (home page, label pages, archives), the cross column style has limited space. I have limited the Label displayed to 1. I have many customers who use as many as 20 labels on their posts. This would not fit in the layout. If you click through to the posts, you will see all labels are displayed at the top of the single post pages. Blogger displays the labels in alphabetical order only. There is no way to change this so the first alphabetical label will display. It is not possible to create themes for Blogger with the same level of features as WordPress, especially Genesis themes. Blogger is a very simple system. It was built by Google to be a blog system. WordPress is a complex content management system meant to power any kind of website possible. To put it in perspective, Blogger themes use 1 single code file. WordPress themes use 50 – 300 files. I don’t plan on using any of Blogger’s new themes as a base. I don’t like how they are coded. I build theme on my own custom base. I have plans to release 4-5 more Blogger designs this year then will be done with new designs for a while. Hope that helps
